I wrote the play Welcome to the Ethics Committee, an adaptation of material from the SCP Foundation Wiki, which I also directed. Una Power of Belfield FM said of Welcome to the Ethics Committee: "...this strange drama encompasses both the mysterious and the bureaucratic... Little in this play seems disconnected or without greater importance... moments of bleak comedy... this engaging play is well worth the watch."

Q. How many members of the Ethics Committee does it take to change a lightbulb?

A. Don’t be silly, the Ethics Committee can’t change anything!

The world is not what you think it is. In the shadows, in the corners of your eyes, in the gaps of time in between one second and the next, there are monsters lurking, waiting to strike. The SCP Foundation is the world’s first line of defence against those monsters – its motto: Secure, Contain, Protect. But in its quest to keep the world safe for civilisation, has the Foundation turned into a worse monster than those it tries to contain?

Welcome to the Ethics Committee is a play written by Katherine Farmar, based on the online storytelling project The SCP Foundation. Funny, sinister, and tragic by turns, it follows a new recruit in her path through the SCP Foundation, as she tries to hold on to her values in the face of cosmic horror, global apocalypse, and self-replicating cake.
